1) I was in Post-Searing before I noticed the Trash Can Icon. So I was leaving town just to drop stuff on the ground >_>
2) I joined the first guild 'Looking for Members'ing in Ascalon (a mistake in itself), then when the guild fell apart I didnt know for a MONTH how to leave the guild. So I was stuck in a 1 man guild.
3) Similarly to number 2, I didnt know how to remove people from my friends and ignore lists.
4) I didn't realize Preps didnt stack until the second mission I tryed to stack them in.
5) It was a much longer time before I realized my Stances weren't stacking.
6) I swear the only thing I used my keyboard for was w,a,s,d moving for like 2-3 months. Mouse Click Targeting was SOOO annoying in the middle of battle, and I'd always target the wrong thing
7) I make a lot of smaller mistakes wasting my time and money. Like:
a) Cant even think about how many times I've overpaid for something, then 2 seconds later someone starts trade spam selling the same item for like 10% of what I paid for it.
b) I was clicking through upgrades at the Priest of Balt. and twice I've accidently unlocked trash updates, like Fiery Hammer update...
c) Buying stuff I dont need cause I already have it on another character, and deleting characters with stuff still on them.

My first visit to the UW, I got two ectos...sold them to the merchant for 100 gold each. I had no idea players paid thousands of gold for them or what you could do with them. Back in the days the rare material trader only gave 100 gold for an ecto too btw.

?? When you salvage an unidentified armor you just get an unid'd rune.

Let's see...
*I've put black and silver dye on my first person to see how they looked and sold all kinds of dyes to the merchant (including black).
*I've sold my weapon by accident because I was checking out another wepon on my person and forgot to swap them around.
*I sold superior runes before becuase I didn't know how to use a salavage kit.
* What's that the little bubble on my mini map? Oh, I can avoid monsters?! enough said.
I'll add more as I remeber or do more stupid things.

After doing a Tombs run on my ranger I accidentally sold my storm bow to the merchant. Wasn't too big a deal, since it didn't even have a damage mod on it, but it was max with a low req. It mainly just meant I had to do without a long range bow for a while. But to this day I still have no idea how that random white hammer found its way into my weapon set and replaced the bow.
Oh yeah, and when I first got to the Temple of the Ages, I payed the Voice of Grenth 1k just to see what it would do. Then I took the first quest down there and got slaughtered. But at least I learned not to randomly take quests in the UW.

Some of mine:
1. Hung onto all my Highly Salvageable items from Pre- until I could get to Post- and Expert Salvage them. Uh-uh. Expert Salvage MIGHT be worth it much later in the game, but not that early.
2. Sold valuable items by being too hasty.
3. Salvaged instead of expert salvaged items by being too hasty. IDed items whose identity was obvious. And I'm more organized about how I arrange my backpack than most people are.
4. Didn't learn until I'd been playing a LONG time what the use of certain keys was, e.g. R and T. Probably still don't know all I should.
5. Used a Mist Form build to go after the Blessed Griffons. Used Frozen Burst on them. Died rapidly to Smite Hex (that wasn't the stupid part). Forgot and did the same thing again a few weeks later (that WAS stupid).
6. Went at the front of a group as an elementalist to get off a spell while the enemies were still close together. Died fast. Repeated the error many times.
7. Bought dyes in Pre- that were falling in value in Post-

Skill capping without a cap sig ftw!
Twice in a row >_<
First time i didn't even have one, so i went back in to town to buy one. Then didn't bother eqipping.
Trading 3 nice gold bows for a guild, then giving the guild to some random person

well this was more embarrising the stupid, but here goes...
im playing a r/e in pve and wanted to trie pvp with him. so off i went to the random arena location.
arriving there i wrote in the local channel that i was a pvp newbie looking for a group. mercifully some one told me pretty soon, that on a random area you just enter. i went off to battle quickly before i could be made fun off too much.
(i tottaly screwd that first round by running into the hole opposing team btw)
and of course i did my share of selling the wrong items and buying stuff i dont need.^^

I've done this quite a few times actually, where I go and stand in a well of the profane thinking I'm in a well of power, and then realize later.
